Our dear friend and miracle worker Jim Elder

It is with great sadness that after a short illness our good friend and regular miracle worker Jim Elder passed away on Thursday 19 May 2016. Jim's amazing skills, like the man himself, are simply irreplaceable and our thoughts are with Jim's family at this difficult time.

Event: 15 May 2016 - Scottish Vintage Bus Museum Running Day

Sunday saw Taybus Vintage Vehicle Society attend its first transport event for 2016.

This time we took Volvo Ailsa WTS272T - restored from our collection which not only was on display but completed runs to Kelty and Dunfermline Bus Station.

We were also delighted to find that our Leyland National WBW735X - restored, which won the Roland Williams Best Bus award at this event last year, had been selected to be featured on the attendance plaques given out to all entrants.

Our events page now has photographs of a number of attendance plaques we have received whilst attending rallies with vehicles from our collection.

Website: Welcome to our new look Taybus website

Welcome to the new look website for Taybus Vintage Vehicle Society.

We've added a new awards page showcasing our successes over the past few years, there are more photographs of many of our vehicles and there is a new gallery section which is the now home to our collection of 100 photographs sourced for a transport exhibition in 2010.

There are still a few gaps in both the awards and events pages which will be filled in over the coming months as we develop the site more along with making it more mobile friendly as well. We also have a large number of photos to add as time goes on as well.

Your feedback and comments are always welcome - you can get in touch through our updated contact page or simply leave a reply to this post.
